Obwaagazi Family Sponsorship Program
Benita lives at home with her Mum, Grandmother, Aunt, and baby brother in Masese, Uganda. They all live in a temporary house with a dirt floor, which they own. In the house they have electricity and access to a latrine. They also have access to running water just in front of their house, which they then boil to make it safe drinking water.
The main source of income comes from Benita’s mother who works at Obwaagazi as a teaching assistant, and her grandmother who sells charcoal. Even though Mum and Grandma both work, it’s hard for them to get enough money for the medical needs. Grandma has a high blood pressure and has to go to the hospital every week.
Benita's mother works very hard for us here at Obwaagazi and we love being able to help her get a regular income for her family.
