Obwaagazi Family Sponsorship Program
Halid lives with his mom, dad, and siblings in Masese, Uganda. They own a temporary house with a dirt floor. The house doesn’t have electricity or running water but they do have access to a latrine and safe drinking water.
Halid’s father loads fish on the taxis for a living and the family also does some farming. It’s hard for them to get enough money for the medical care, because the drugs Halid has to take to reduce his seizures are very costly.
Halid is a lot happier since attending Obwaagazi and has now started learning skills to help him with future jobs once he leaves school.
