The new term started on September 18 and what a fantastic first two weeks we’ve had! All of the students have been working hard in their new journals practicing their handwriting, alphabet, numbers, math, science and social studies. We’ve also started our arts and craft sessions that will take place every Friday, so keep an eye out on our social media to see what we’ve been making!
On the first day of term we welcomed our three new students Zeke, Waiswa and Isaac and they have all proved to be a wonderful addition to the Obwaagazi family and have been truly welcomed by all of the other students! Every child also received new clothing and a new tooth brush.
Kristina, Moses and Carter are now in the United States doing talks at schools, colleges, and churches, while Obwaagazi’s newest staff member, Samantha, is still in Uganda helping with the daily office tasks, updating the social media and website and making sure the school runs smoothly!
We also wished huge congratulations to Kristina on receiving her award on 21st September. Kristina was selected to be the 2017-2018 NISD Pillar of Caring for the amazing work she does here in Uganda with Obwaagazi and we couldn’t be more proud!
We want to say a massive thank you to anybody that helped us purchase items for the school from our Amazon wish list. Every single item was purchased and will be brought to us in about a week! We are so excited to start using them in our arts and craft sessions!
Remember, if you are interested in having Kristina and Moses speak at your church, college, small group, or to a group of friends, please contact Kristina at firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
Thank you so much for everything you do for us!
Enjoy your week!
