Today was the first day of the new term in 2018 and we’ve made lots of exciting changes! We welcomed new students, a new teacher and have added an extra two hours onto our school day!
We had 8 new students start with us including Fiona, Frida, Maria, Connie, Lisa, Christiano, Isabella and Alfat. This meant that we needed an extra classroom and another teacher so that the classes weren’t too big and we could still give each child the individual attention that they need. For our first week while the fourth classroom is still being completed, the new teacher will be training with the other teachers and we will officially open the new classroom next week!
Viola is our new teacher and will be working in our new classroom with a small group of students.
The extra two hours in the school day means that we can add more into the curriculum and give the students a wider range of activities throughout the day. The longer day means that we also now serve lunch alongside our snack!
We also welcomed our new volunteer Carolina! A physiotherapist from the UK who will be staying with us for 2 weeks!
At the end of the school day each child received a new outfit to take home and a new uniform for school including our new uniform dresses for the girls, which we adore!
