We've just finished our second week of term and all the students are now settling back into their routines of classes, sports lessons and arts and crafts.
Todays arts and craft was handprint monkeys! This is a great sensory activity as the students get to use their hands to become part of the art work. The handprint is the body, the head is paper and the rest is coloured pen or pencil! We had so much fun creating this one! Everyone's monkeys are just so cute!
Last week we got a donation of Days for Girls menstrual kits from Hope for Maamas Uganda! We are so thankful for this generous donation and we cannot wait to give them out!
The kits includes washable sanitary pads, soap, small towels and new underwear, all packaged in these gorgeous bags!! Thank you, Hope for Maamas Uganda and Days for Girls!!
Over the last two weeks we have gained even more animals for our farm! We bought a new goat and received two baby goats and their mama as a generous donation from our amazing volunteers Kimberley and Marije!
We also got yet another female cow (the brown one in the middle!) and our chickens and turkeys have had chicks so we have lots of baby chicks and two baby turkeys!!
