Today we made Lion Masks!

June 29, 2018

Over the past few weeks, some of our sweet children have lost their sponsorships. With this, our new students and our new physical therapy sponsorship program, we are in need of a lot more people to join our family. Please help us get more sponsorships for these amazing children and help them to continue their education and get the physical therapy that they desperately need everyday. If you want to find out which children are still in need of a sponsor then please contact us.

Todays arts and craft session was paper plate lion masks! We cut a hole in the centre of the paper plate, cut strips of orange, yellow and brown paper, curled them and then glued them all the way around the plate. They all had so much fun pretending to be lions afterwards!

On Monday we welcomed our new volunteer Sydney!! On her first day at the school, Sydney joined us on our home visits to see how we fill in our needs assessment. We visited Florence and Benita and it was so lovely that Sydney was able to join us and meet and learn first hand about some of our families!

Our students are now using our handmade chalkboards that were made by our lovely volunteers and interns! They’re so much fun and the students love being creative. It’s such a great reusable resource for us to use!
